A causa del solito paradosso italiano, il testo più utile e si può dire fondamentale per comprendere l'arte italiana degli anni Sessanta/Settanta è stato realizzato per una mostra all'estero (Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris) e in lingua straniera (francese).
Quando dovetti preparare l'esame di arte contemporanea all'università mi è stato utilissimo e mi sento di consigliarlo a tutti, anche soltanto per ammirare il ricchissimo apparato fotografico.
Il libro, anno per anno e addirittura mese per mese, ricostruisce con meticolosissima precisione ogni evento legato all'arte contemporanea italiana, arricchendolo di immagini significative di opere d'arte e di libri. Inoltre uno degli elementi più interessanti è anche la presenza di una breve bibliografia al termine di ogni capitolo, che riporta tutti i libri importanti (narrativa, filosofia, ecc.) editi in quell'anno.
Uno straordinario repertorio validissimo per chi vuole indagare quegli anni, ma anche per chi ama viaggiare indietro nel tempo. L'unica pecca il prezzo: non lo troverete a meno di 40 euro!

When I had to study for the exam in contemporary art at the university I found it very useful and I want to suggest it to everyone, also just to admire its many photographs.
The book reconstructs year by year and even month by month all the events related to italian contemporary art, enriching them with significant images of works and books.
Moreover the most interesting thing is a bibliography at the end of each chapter, which reports every important book (novels, philosophy etc.) that has been published in that year.
So it's an extraordinary repertoire for those who research the art of that years, but also for those who love to go back in time.
The price is the only weakness: you'll never find it for less than 40 euros!
